Administrative Toolbar

Once you invited to a site as an editor and logged in, you will see the Web Express administration toolbar on top of the page. Users with different permission levels will see the links associated with the permissions they have on the site.

The main administrative toolbar consists of the Express toolbar, the Shortcuts toolbar, your user profile, the Help link and the Log out button. You will also have the Back to site tab when you are working within the editor interface.

The Express toolbar contains links to administrative tasks. Unlike the Shortcuts toolbar, the Express toolbar is not customizable.

Note: You may see more options under each section depending on which bundles you've enabled on your site.

Users: This is where you'll find a list of editable site users and where you'll invite new site users.

Reports: See the status report of your site for any broken links, unused blocks and forms.

Design: This is where you can select and change your design options, and create/edit Block Designer Themes.

Settings: The settings section is where you set up your site information, enable bundles, add redirects and create other various custom settings.

Shortcuts Toolbar

Unlike the Express toolbar, the Shortcuts toolbar is fully customizable. You'll start with a default set of shortcuts to the most common tasks. You can remove the existing shortcuts and replace them with links to administrative pages that you use most often.

Default shortcuts toolbar

The Shortcuts toolbar can hold up to 7 shortcuts. To add a shortcut:

  1. Open up the task you want to accomplish. Next to the title there's a tiny plus icon.
  2. Click the plus icon to add this task to the Shortcut toolbar.

  3. Manage the shortcuts toolbar by clicking Edit shortcuts which appears on the far right of the shortcuts toolbar.

Note: The system allows seven shortcuts in the Shortcuts toolbar. If you add more than seven shortcuts, the extra shortcuts will be hidden. Go to Edit shortcuts to enable hidden shortcuts, rename shortcuts, or reorder shortcuts.
