Set URL Share Image

We share URLs in various platforms, from social media platforms to chats in Jira or Teams. The platform will display a thumbnail and maybe a summary of the URL. Here is an example of sharing the CU Boulder homepage URL in a Teams chat.

URL summary card

We have configured the homepage with a unique image optimized for this type of sharing. If you have not configured your homepage to display a custom thumbnail, when you share your URL it will include an image place hold.

We know from experience and studies that the right data, including optimized images, helps content to spread, which often leads to increased links and mentions.
