LiveChat Settings

LiveChat is a paid real-time chat solution from LiveChat Inc. The department or academic unit will need to purchase a license in order to use this service. A free trial is available. Once the LiveChat Bundle is enabled on your site, follow the instructions to activate LiveChat on your site.

Note: Request the LiveChat bundle before you start the tutorial. Since the LiveChat bundle is part of the Request bundles group, when you request this bundle, our team will confirm with you that you have a LiveChat license.

Activate LiveChat Service

  1. Click Settings in the Express menu.
  2. Click LiveChat link.
  3. Enter your LiveChatINC.com license number in the field provided.
  4. Save

Designate Pages for LiveChat Display

  1. Click Structure in the Express menu.
  2. Select Context from the list of options.
  3. Edit the livechat context.
  4. Under Conditions, click Path to expand the condition configuration.
  5. Remove the asterisk (*) and enter the node/# (i.e. node/3) of the page that you would like the LiveChat widget to appear on.
  6. On separate lines, add additional page node/# as needed.
  7. Save

Disable LiveChat

  1. Click Structure in the Express menu.
  2. Select Context from the list of options.
  3. Select Disable next to the livechat context.
  4. Save
