CU Search Block

Add a CU Search Block to the site's 403/404 error page via context (tutorial follows) or to another page on the site using a Block Wrapper Block.

Note: you must enable the Advanced Design bundle or Advanced Layout bundle to use context.

Navigate to the Context Overview Page

  1. Go to the Express toolbar and select Structure.
  2. Select Context from the list of options.
  3. Click + Add to create a new context.

Configure Context Fields

  1. Name (required): the name must be all lowercase and contain no spaces.
  2. Tag (optional): if you create a lot of contexts, this will help organize them on the context overview page.
  3. Description (optional): this will describe the context on the overview page.

Add a Condition

  1. Choose 404/403 error page from the <Add a condition> drop-down.
  2. Select the configuration you would like. 404 only is typically the best option in most cases.
    1. 403 only: non authorized page reached.
    2. 404 only: page not found error page.
    3. 404 or 403 pages.
    4. Not an error page.

Add a Reaction

  1. Scroll down to the Reactions section and choose Blocks from the <Add a reaction menu> drop-down.
  2. In the block list column, expand CU Search section and select the CU Search Large block.
  3. Click +Add on the region you would like to place the block.

Save the Context

Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
