404 "Not Found" Page

404 is an error that is displayed when a the page or file that the user requests is not found. It essentially forms a dead end for the visitor, since they can do nothing else but return to the homepage, choose another option in your main navigation or use the site search in the banner.

In Web Express, you have several options to create a friendlier 404 "Not Found" page.

  1. Add a large CU site search block to the default "403/404 error page" in a different region on the page so the search option is more prominent.
  2. Create a customized 404 "not found" page. Refer to the Advanced Content bundle tutorials on how to create a new Error page. You may add the large CU Search block to your custom page using a Block Wrapper Block.
