Publication Blocks

The Publication bundle comes with several automatically generated blocks (you will not need to create these blocks). These blocks pull from content and terms created when you create articles and issues. To see these blocks, you must place them using using context as detailed below.

Here is a list of the Publication Blocks:

  • Current Issue block: this block displays the current issue cover art and links to the current Issue page.
  • Latest Issue block: this block displays four of the latest issues and provides a link to to the Archives List page. You must have over four issues for the archives link to appear on the block.
  • Story Issue block: when placed on Article content types, this block displays the Issue the article is associated with and a link to the Issue.
  • Category Cloud block: this block will display all category taxonomy terms. Each term is linked to its category list page. This is a nice block to use as a search block.
  • Tag Cloud block: this block will display all tag taxonomy terms. Each term is linked to its tag list page. This is a nice block to use as a search block.
  • Related Articles block: when placed on Article content types, this block will display other article content with the same category and tag terms. The block is an article slider block.

Note: The Context feature is available in the  Advanced Design and  Advanced Layout Bundles. Enable one of these bundles to add the context feature to your site.
