Content List Block

The Content List block provides the ability to create custom content lists from existing content types, such as articles, collection items, pages, photo galleries and people. A Content List block maybe placed on any content type where you can edit the layout. The content for a Content List block must already be created.

Note: you must enable the Advanced Content bundle to use this block.

Add a Content List Block

  1. Go to the Shortcuts toolbar and select Blocks
  2. Click on Add Block at the top of the page.
  3. Select Content List from the list of options.
  4.  Add a Content List block
  5. Or click Edit Layout on the page you wish to place the block.

Add Content List Content

The Content List block has the following fields:

  1. Label: a name used to uniquely identify the block.
  2. Title (optional): this displays above the Content List block when placed on a page. 
  3. Content: fill in the Content field by entering the page title for a person, basic page, collection item, photo gallery or article that you wish to compile in this block. Add other items as desired.
  4. Sort: choose a sort option.
    1. Custom: displays in the order placed in the content fields (grab crosshairs next to an item to drag it into custom position).
    2. Date Created: displays in the order of date created.
    3. Date Created Reverse: displays in the reverse order of date created.
    4. Alphabetical: displays alphabetically according to page title.
  5. Display: Choose the display option.
    1. Teaser: image is aligned left with teaser text to the right.
    2. Embed: displays a snapshop of the content.
    3. Title: displays the content titles.
    4. Sidebar: displays a left aligned image and the title.
  6. Click Save.

Place Content List Block

Place the new block on one of your web pages using  Edit Layout for block placement or Context.
